Florence—Day 1: July 6
Boticelli does an amazing job capturing the remorse of Adama and Eve as they are being expelled from the Garden of Eden. This frescoe is found in the Brancacci Chapel.
A famous bridge in Venice--all of those little shops on the bridge are adorable, but VERY high-end.
Me, on the high-end store area bridge (forgive the awkward caption!)
Tower Houses. I don't remember a perfect description of these, but they were supposed to be safer in the case of invasion, as there is only one room per floor.
Cute little electric cars. The city of Florence is giving people a break and a free battery re-charge if they drive these in the center of the city instead of normal cars. They have two seats--one in the front, one in the back.
We turned a corner, and BAM! Here was this cute little carousel in the middle of the piazza.
Brunelleschi's bronze doors on the Florence Baptistery. Aren't they exquisite?!
